Built in 1876, Artesia School was the first country school in the Lompoc Valley and served as a one-room schoolhouse continuously until 1961. Today, the school remains furnished in its original condition, offering visitors a glimpse into Lompoc Valley’s early educational history. Located at 115 W. Chestnut Ave., Artesia School is open for monthly Open Houses on the fourth Saturday of each month from 2–4 p.m.
