Great work the Rock Church does with this ministry! Really making a difference in our community.
Cristina Reyes·
Do they accept volunteers? Would love to help sort or distribute.
Leticia Ramirez·
@cris.gardener Click the link to their website, I think you can sign up directly. I volunteered last month and it was really well organized.
Luis Herrera·
This is good work but I wish there was more focus on addressing *why* people need food assistance in the first place. Band-aids on a bullet wound situation.
Michael Ibrahim·
@luisherrera1993 That's fair but also like... people need to eat this week. Addressing systemic issues doesn't mean we stop feeding people now.
Roberto Gutiérrez·
Can we not do this here? It's a community resource, just be grateful. Go donate your time instead of arguing online.
Luis Herrera·
@michael.ibrahim82 I'm not being ungrateful. I'm saying the ministry is great AND we should ask bigger questions. Both things are true.
Ernesto Ruiz·
Do they need specific donations right now? I could grab some stuff from the store this week.
Leticia Ramirez·
@ernesto.maker They always need non-perishables, especially proteins and things with low sodium for people managing health stuff. Check the website for the full list!
