OASIS Lecture: The Vikings

Join us for a lecture by Henry George, engineer, archaeologist, and geologist. T he Vikings have long conjured images of ruthless raiders. However, they were also skilled seamen, fearless explorers, warrior-conquerors, nation builders, and astute merchants. This lecture will set the stage for the Viking Age from CE 790 to 1100, and then discuss the times when the Viking Dragon Ships spread terror and devastation across the seas and rivers of Europe.
