Really looking forward to this! Finally an event focused on sustainable food systems. Hope they talk about the cost of going local though, not everyone can afford $8 tomatoes.

@marco.reyes.sd You make a great point about cost, but scale usually brings prices down. We need more demand for local food to make it sustainable AND affordable.

@diego.g.chef Agreed! The quality difference is night and day. Though I will say last year's farmers market version was way too crowded and the parking lot was a nightmare.

Just want to clarify - is this free admission? The website doesn't say and I don't want to show up with my kids only to find out it's $40 a person or something ridiculous.

@sue.midcentury There's a parking structure two blocks east, or honestly the street parking around the library is usually fine on weekends. I'll probably just bike there.
