Deleting your account
How to delete your Fig account, what's deleted and kept, and how to change your mind.
You can delete your account any time, in the app or on the website.
How to delete it
-
Open Settings:
- iPhone or Android app: Settings, then Delete account.
- Website: sign in, open Settings, then Delete account.
-
Read what happens, then tap Delete account to confirm.
Can't sign in? Email [email protected] from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.
What happens right away
- You're signed out on every device.
- Your profile and @handle disappear, and everything you posted is hidden. Nobody can find, follow or message you.
- Location sharing stops, and your last spot is deleted.
- Upcoming plans you host go to a co-host, or are cancelled if there isn't one. Everyone following the plan is told.
Changed your mind?
Sign back in within 30 days, the same way you always do, and your account comes back as it was. The app tells you the date to sign back in by.
After 30 days
Your account and data are deleted for good. That's well within the 90 days our Privacy Policy promises.
What's deleted: everything that's yours, including your profile and @handle, photos and videos, comments, ratings and likes, saved boards, scouts and alerts, groups you own (and their chats), who you follow and who follows you, and your location sharing.
What's kept:
- Messages you sent stay in the chats they were sent to, shown from "Deleted account", so the conversation still makes sense for everyone else.
- Safety reports are kept privately, only as long as the law requires.
- Payment records, if you have any, are kept only as long as the law requires.
After that, your email is no longer tied to anything. Signing in with it later starts a brand-new account.
More details are on our delete account page.
