Alerts and emails
What shows up in Activity, what Fig emails you about, and how to turn emails off.
Activity
The bell at the top of Home opens Activity. A red badge shows how many things are new since you last looked. Tap a line to open what it's about.
About happenings you follow or attend:
- It's cancelled, moved, or has a new time or place
- Updates from the host
- New comments, photos and videos
- Friends going
- A reminder about a day before
About you and your plans:
- New followers and follow requests
- Friends who joined Fig from your invite
- Replies to your comments and @mentions of you
- Invites to someone's plan, and being made a co-host
- Who's going to, liking or commenting on plans you made
- New finds from your Fig Scouts
You never get alerts about your own actions, or about people you've blocked.
To get a happening's news, tap Follow on it, or say you're attending. See Saving and going.
Emails
Anything that lands in Activity is also emailed to the address you sign in with. When several things arrive together, they come in one email.
Turning emails off
- Open Settings, then Emails.
- Turn off the kinds you don't want:
- Changes and reminders
- Updates and announcements
- Comments, replies and mentions
- Your plans and invites
- Friends and followers
- Scout finds
You can also turn a kind off from the email itself: the footer has a Turn off link for each kind in it, and Email preferences. Your mail app's Unsubscribe button works too.
Turning off an email doesn't change Activity: those alerts still show there.
