Setting up your feed
The quick questions you see when you join, and how to keep teaching Fig what you like.
Your feed starts with what's near you and soon. A few quick answers, and your thumbs from then on, make it yours.
The Setup Wizard

Right after you make your account, a short quiz opens over your feed. It asks things like:
- Are kids in the picture?
- Do you want events built around drinks?
- How loud do you like it?
- How much do you want to be outside?
- How much do you want to sweat?
It also asks about Pride and LGBTQ+ events and about faith and worship events (you can pick which traditions you want to see). Every question can be skipped, and Skip closes the whole quiz.
Some answers keep things out of your feed: if you say skip kids' events, they won't show up there. Others, like how loud or how outdoorsy, just lean your feed one way. Your answers are private and never show on your profile.
To answer again, open Settings and tap Setup Wizard.
Thumbs up and thumbs down
👍 and 👎 are the main way to tell Fig what you like.
- Tap 👍 or 👎 on any card or on a happening's page. You can also double-tap a card to like it.
- Fig asks what you liked about it (or what's not for you): the music, the vibe, the place, who's putting it on. Pick any, or tap Skip.
- Your feed shifts. Things like it move up or down.
A 👎 takes that one happening out of your feed. Similar happenings only move lower, so you can still judge them yourself. Your 👍s show on your profile's Liked tab; your 👎s are always private.
Made a mistake? Tap Undo in the bar that appears, or tap the same thumb again.
Changing your mind
In Settings you'll find:
- Your ratings: everything you've rated, to change or remove.
- How Fig sees you: what Fig has picked up about what you like.
- Never show me: kinds of happenings you never want to see, like food trucks or nightlife.
- Reset my feed: starts fresh. Your follows, likes and plans stay.
