What Fig is
A quick tour of Fig and the words you'll see around the app.
Fig helps you find things happening near you and go to them with your people. A concert, a farmers market, trivia night, a pickup game, a dinner with friends: if it starts and ends, it's a happening, and it can be on Fig.
What you can do
- Find happenings near you. Your feed shows what's going on around you, with the things that fit you near the top. See Your feed.
- Search the way you talk. Type "date night but not a bar" or "something for my toddler Saturday morning" and Fig finds matches. See Search, filters and the map.
- Save and go. Save happenings to boards, say you're attending, and follow a happening to hear its news. See Saving and going.
- Plan with your people. Follow friends, make groups for the people you do things with, and talk it over in chat. See Groups and chat.
- Host your own. Anyone can put a happening on Fig, from a backyard dinner to a festival, and hosts can sell tickets. See Putting a happening on Fig.
Words you'll see
- Happening: something you can go to, at a set time. A business on its own isn't a happening, but a band playing there on Friday night is.
- Board: a list you save happenings to, like "Date nights" or "Something chill".
- Group: the people you do things with, plus the group's chat.
- Chat: where you talk with a group, about a happening, or with one person.
- Fig Scout: your own scout that keeps watching for something you care about. See Fig Scouts.
Where to use it
Fig works on the iPhone, on Android and on the website at www.fig.social, all with the same account. See Fig everywhere.
