Putting a happening on Fig
Make a happening of your own, or add one you spotted on a flyer or a web page.
Making your own
- Tap + (in the app or on the website).
-
Give it a title.

-
Pick where. Search for the place and tap it.
- Pick when: the day, the start and end times. It can last up to 24 hours.
- Choose who can see it (below).
- Invite people or groups if you like, or skip.
- Say who it's for: Anyone, Kids, Family friendly or Adults only.
- Add a note and a photo if you want, check the summary, and tap Create it.
You land on your new happening's page.
Repeating dates
Under When, choose Recurring to repeat it Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks or Monthly (for example, the third Thursday of every month). If the dates don't follow a pattern, add them one by one under More dates. You can have up to 52 upcoming dates.
Later, on the happening's page, Dates lets you change one date's time, cancel one date (and bring it back) or add a date.
Who can see it
- Friends: your friends, plus anyone and any group you invited.
- Everyone: anyone on Fig. If your account is private, only your followers.
- Only people I invite: just the people and groups you pick.
Organizations choose Everyone or Only people I invite.
For public plans you host as a person, people who aren't going only see the general area. The exact spot is shared once they say they're coming.
From a flyer or poster
Saw a flyer on a board? On the + screen, tap Got a flyer or poster? and take or choose a photo. Fig reads the flyer and fills in the details for you to check. Fix anything that's off, then tap Add to Fig.
A happening added from a flyer is listed under whoever's putting it on, not under you. To host your own thing, use the steps above.
From a web page
With the Fig extension for Chrome, open a happening's page, click the Fig button, check the draft and tap Add to Fig. On a page with many happenings, select the one you mean first. Like a flyer, it's listed under whoever's putting it on.
Tap QR code on your happening for a code to put on flyers and signs.
