Business, nonprofit and organization pages
Claim your business's page, mark your organization as a nonprofit, and run an organization from your own account.
Claiming your business page
Happenings on Fig belong to a business page: the organizer, or the place when there's no organizer. If one is yours, you can claim it.
- Sign in and open your page, or one of its happenings.
- Tap Is this your business? Claim this page.
- Choose a way to show it's yours:
- Your work email. If you signed in with an email at the business's website ([email protected]), you're approved right away.
- A code to the business's email. Pick one of the addresses the business publishes. We send a 6-digit code there; get it from whoever reads that inbox and type it in.
- A code on your website. Add the short code we give you to your homepage, then tap Check now.
- Ask us to review. Tell us how you're connected to the business.
Personal addresses (like Gmail) don't count. Each page has one owner, and we email the business when it's claimed.
What you can do with your page
- Show a ✓ Verified check on the page and its happenings.
- Change the name shown, the About text, the website and the photo.
- Mark as cancelled a happening on your page, or say it's Not ours.
- Post updates on your happenings and check people in.
Spot a happening on the wrong page? Tap Wrong business? on it and tell us where it belongs.
Organizations you run
Run a business, club or team from your own account and switch back and forth.
- Open the account switcher: long-press the Me tab on iPhone, tap Switch on your Android profile, or use the switcher next to Settings on the website. It's also at Settings → Switch account.
- Tap Create an organization and add its name, @handle and kind.
While you're switched to an organization, everything you do is the organization's: happenings, posts, messages and follows. Switch back to yourself the same way.
Settings → Managers (while switched) shows who runs it. Owners invite people by @handle and can change roles. Managers can do everything except manage people and delete the organization.
Nonprofits
- Switch to the organization and open Settings → Nonprofit.
- Type your EIN and tap Look it up.
If it's found among tax-exempt organizations, your profile shows Nonprofit and you pay a lower fee on tickets. See Getting paid.
