Signing in
How to sign in to Fig with an email code, a passkey or Google, and how a new account gets set up.
Fig has no passwords. You sign in with a code we email you, and you can add a faster way back in once you're set up.
Sign in with an email code
- Open Fig and type your email address.
- Check your inbox for an email that says "123456 is your Fig code" (with your own 6 digits).
- Type the code into Fig.
The code works for 10 minutes. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, or ask for a new one (the new code replaces the old one). The first time you use a code with an email, Fig makes your account.
Setting up a new account
The first time you sign in, Fig asks a few things:
- Who the account is for: you, or a business or organization.
- Your name (or your business's name) and your @username, which is how people find you.
- Your birthday. You must be 18 or older to use Fig. Your birthday stays private.
A personal account can be private (you approve who follows you) or public. Business accounts are always public. You can change your profile later.
Sign in with a passkey
A passkey lets you sign in with your face, fingerprint or screen lock instead of waiting for an email.
- On Android: after signing in with a code, tap Use a passkey when Fig offers it. Next time, tap Sign in with a passkey.
- On the website: accept the passkey offer after signing in, then use Sign in with a passkey next time.
You can see and remove your passkeys in Settings. The email code always still works.
Continue with Google (website)
On www.fig.social you can tap Continue with Google instead of typing your email. If your Google account uses the same email as your Fig account, you land in the same account. Fig only gets your name and email from Google.
Staying signed in
Fig keeps you signed in on each device until you sign out.
